Dipping your toes into the waters of generative AI for business
As quickly as generative AI’s utility has amplified and expanded in day to day business, there has been an equally rapid rush of offerings to help people understand and use this technology. However: you don’t have to learn everything about all the ways you can use all the types of AI, all at once. It’s okay to start by dipping your toes in the water of building a tool.
As preparation though, you’ll want to make sure you have clearly defined employee workflow processes, which you and your business leadership are willing to commit to. No amount of technological intervention can do this for you.
If you’re not sure where to start, the commitment to clearly defining the process is enough. Any external agency you work with should be able to help you go from there.
As a contrast, we’ve had many clients ask for business automation or robotic process automation projects without this commitment to clear processes (long before generative AI appeared). One consequence is blown out budgets from trying to accommodate way too much flexibility. Another consequence is building the wrong automation – it’s hard to explore options when you don’t know where or how you’re trying to add value in your business.
Once you’re ready to test the waters, we’ve created a new way to comfortably do it: the AI Adoption Training.
This training starts with a 1-hour, one-on-one call to learn about your business and gather your questions and concerns. This information goes into shaping a highly customized, 2-hour, hands-on workshop for you and the employees you select to attend. Our goal is that this time spent gives you directly relevant ways to integrate AI into your day-to-day workflows and operations. Generally, topics covered could include:
- Advantages to using AI in business
- Why people are not using it
- Large scale applications
- Personal applications tailored for your business
- Tips and tricks to using ChatGPT for everyday tasks
- List of resources to learn more about AI
After the workshop, you’ll have 4 weeks of once-per-week check ins to support new habit building.
No need for major migrations or huge integrations right out of the gate (Like Air Canada’s rogue chatbot) – just 3 hours, some personal coaching, and a chance to see what the next right step could be for your business.
If you’re curious or have questions, please organize a time with Chris Johnston. We understand the need for discretion and sensitivity when discussing major changes to a business, and if you’re more comfortable meeting with an NDA, just let him know.
